Four Paws Magic Coat Flea Shampoo Review

Four Paws Magic Coat Flea Shampoo

When it comes to figuring out which flea shampoo is best for your dog or cat, admittedly, you have many options to choose from. Of course, you want any flea shampoo to get rid of fleas or prevent them from infesting your pet at all. However, you also want to make sure that the shampoo smells great, is good for your dog or cat’s skin, and contains safe ingredients.

One product on the market today is Four Paws Magic Coat Flea Shampoo. This is a great-smelling, conditioning shampoo that is for flea control. However, it should be noted that this is not a natural product and while it may contain conditioners to help stop matting and tangles, it also contains some chemicals that could irritate your pet’s skin.

There are several reviews online about this product’s effectiveness and unfortunately, it looks like this shampoo does not perform the way it should. Many users note that while the shampoo may kill some fleas upon first inspection, it does not finish them off for good, instead making the fleas appear more “mobile and aggressive.” Some users believe that this product irritates the fleas but does not killing them, essentially making them angry and irritating your pet more.

This isn’t positive news for any pet owner looking to protect their pet from fleas. Because of this information, Four Paws Magic Coat Flea Shampoo earns a “thumbs down” in our book.

However, a great flea shampoo can be found in either Veterinarian’s Best Oatmeal Flea Relief Dog Shampoo or in Doc Ackerman’s Botanical Citronella Shampoo. Both of these products are all natural and work through the use of repellant’s like rosemary, citronella, oatmeal and other ingredient’s found in nature. These flea shampoo’s are the natural alternative that pet owners should look to when considering the best flea shampoo for their pet.

Well, this was certainly not my experience. I used this flea shampoo on my kitten who came to me flea infested from a barn, and it just killed 99% of the fleas with the bath itself, and then after drying, the remaining were quite lethargic, and eventually fell off dead. It’s the best darn flea shampoo I’ve ever used on any of my pets, and I’d recommend it to anyone, even if it’s ‘organic’ or whatever. It gets the job done. I am quite impressed with it.
