How to Make a Homemade Flea Trap

homemade flea trap

If you are concerned that you might have a flea infestation, you may want to try this homemade method for making a flea trap. The trap will let you know whether your concerns are justified and give you a general idea of how bad the infestation is.

To setup the trap, simply place reverse duct tape with a light source that gives off heat just above it.

Fleas are attracted to both light and heat, so setting the trap in a high traffic room like the living room is certain to snag a few fleas if your house is infested.

If the next day you find little black fleas stuck to the tape, then you know you do have fleas. However, if you don’t see any, then you know you are not dealing with an infestation.
